Triflex has an extensive portfolio of projects, showcasing the versatility and durability of their liquid roofing systems. Here are some notable examples with useful links straight through to the full case studies.
Sandown Court
Permicoat Ltd, a Triflex Authorised Contractor, was tasked to provide a bespoke project specification for replacing the failing waterproofing system and improving the thermal performance of the building. Because working on a high-rise tower block was challenging, Permicoat Ltd needed materials that were lightweight and easy to move from the ground up. Removing the old waterproofing system was also difficult on such a tall building, leading to an overlay solution. It was also important to limit the risk of water damage during the work. Mountjoy Square
The existing roof had an asphalt roof system with a solar reflective coating and evidence of torch on felt patch repairs and blisters. Removing the existing solar reflective coating completely was not possible due to budget and time constraints. The client needed an overlay option that would bond securely to the asphalt substrate below, not just to the reflective coating. The overlay also needed to address failing mortar joints at the intersection between the flat roof and pitched roof. Read more about this project.
Fradley 432
UK Waterproofing Ltd, a Triflex Authorised Contracting Partner, won the project and contacted Triflex for a Project Specification Proposal. Since the project was set for the winter, UK Waterproofing Ltd needed a cold liquid waterproofing system that could be applied in temperatures as low as 0°C. Read more about this project.
Emirates Stadium
The roof refurbishment had to work around the football season schedule. A waterproofing solution was needed that would cause minimal disruption and could be applied over the existing single ply membrane. The Triflex Technical Team working with Topek Southern Limited (TSL), a Triflex Authorised Contractor, conducted a detailed survey and in-depth evaluation, delivering confidence in a scientifically proven overlay solution. The complex form and many different details of the stadium roof were easily accommodated by the liquid roofing system. Read more about this project.
St. Simon Stock School
Triflex partnered with Ashley Consultants UK Limited and Concept Roofing & Cladding Services, a Triflex Authorised Contractor, to refurbish four roofs at St. Simon Stock Catholic School. The roofs were in bad shape because the existing mineral felt and asphalt waterproofing was failing, letting water into the classrooms, kitchen, and dining hall. The mineral felt had been exposed to standing water for years, and the asphalt had developed defects including cracking and ruckling. The roofs also needed better insulation to meet the current Building Regulations. Read more about this project.
Arena Village
Triflex and Weatherproofing Advisors Ltd. renovated a roof at the Arena Village student accommodation in Leeds. The 22nd-storey roof had been leaking for a long time, which meant that some rooms couldn't be used and the building's internal structure was being damaged. Previous repairs hadn't worked. Testing showed that there was a lot of standing water damaging the original PU coating system under the inverted roof, which caused blistering and leaks. Inadequate drainage was also evident. K West Hotel
K West Hotel in London had a flat asphalt roof that had been previously overlaid with a bituminous membrane, but it had reached the end of its life and was now letting water into the building. Some top-floor rooms had to be closed because of the water damage. To avoid inconveniencing guests at the fully occupied hotel, Triflex was selected for its rapid curing capabilities. This allowed for quick waterproofing of key areas, resulting in minimal disruption and no complaints from guests. Read more about this project.
